Time flies, and in a blink of an eye, Foremed Legend's official account has been celebrated for two years, and the company is approaching its third anniversary. Many friends say that they like to read my articles, from which they can see an entrepreneur with an independent soul. I am usually very busy, and I rarely have the opportunity to calm down and write a little about what I think, and take the opportunity of the second anniversary of the official account to write a few words briefly. At this time of the year, I'd just like to elaborate on two qualities that Foremed Legend needs to focus on: focus on excellence & stay in awe.

is first and foremost about focusing on excellence, and I hope this is an attitude that all members of Foremed Legend can keep in mind. Foremed Legend is a start-up company that makes medical device products, not an advertising company that does PPT, and it is not a media company that writes science fiction. For a startup, it is not common sense that no product can be perfect. For example, the M22 is a great product that is synonymous with high-quality photonic therapy devices worldwide. From the original generation to the current version, the optimization and iteration cycle of this product is more than 30 years. If we claim that we can make a better product than the M22 in a few months, it is illogical, at least I don't believe it. I was deeply touched by Mr. Wang Chuanfu's words before: "The development of a new product actually comes from 60% of the literature, 30% from competing products, and the other 5% from raw materials and other factors, and its own research actually accounts for about 5%." "However, we see that many core product power gaps come from 5% of the self-developed part, and it is impossible to make excellent products without deep enough understanding. For example, when we studied the subdivision of photon therapy devices, we found that few devices have as much ingenuity in details as the M22, and understanding these ingenuity will give us a completely different depth of understanding of the product. As I have said many times before, medical devices are a strongly regulated industry, and product optimization and iteration are limited by regulatory policies, and the cycle will be much slower than that of ordinary industrial products, which determines that we need to be more refined in every detail. Therefore, without the attitude of focusing on excellence, we cannot insist on making every detail of the product better and better in the long years.

The other is to stay in awe, which will determine the ceiling of Foremed Legend as a company. Since the establishment of the company, I have always believed that there are still many unexplored questions about the relationship between light and biological tissues. This is why the clinical treatment effect cannot be standardized, and the effect delivery cannot be consistent. Recently, we have observed a very interesting phenomenon: after we have invested a huge amount of R&D cost to make the energy of the picosecond laser more stable and the light spot more uniform, the treatment effect of the pigment will be different from that of similar competitors, such as the immediate reaction after the injection will be redder, and the scab will fall off faster. However, we cannot now judge whether the performance optimization of these technical dimensions will lead to a significant improvement in clinical safety and effectiveness. Does an immediate redder reaction pose a greater risk of pigmentation? During and after treatment, what can be done to increase protection measures to avoid adverse reactions more effectively? The further derivative question is, in what dimensions should we further optimize the technology in order to make picosecond lasers that are more in line with the needs of clinical treatment? Not long ago, I have seen the possibility that picosecond lasers can be made into fiber-coupled output, if it is really possible to achieve absolute uniformity of picosecond spots, will it have a better effect on clinical treatment? As I've said before, working behind closed doors in the lab can't fully meet the needs of clinicians, and even a lot of our "ingenuity" and "optimization" can become a burden on clinical operations. I don't think the company will have a great future if one day Foremed Legend's team is obsessed with self-congratulating "R&D" and so-called "innovation" that is divorced from actual clinical needs, and if Foremed Legend's decision-making mechanism is no longer able to incorporate real feedback from the market. That's why I think it's important to be in awe, and to admit your ignorance is a valuable quality in itself. If, after admitting ignorance, we can continue to insist on doing something meaningful, and adhere to the original intention of science and technology for good in the stumbling exploration, maybe we can make some more valuable contributions. Recently, I was fortunate to meet several founders of 3N Technology, and Xiaofan always talked about the origin of the company's name, she said that one life is two, two is three, three is everything, 3N refers to the N power of 3, representing infinite possibilities. It's a great moral that Foremed Legend is almost three years old, and I hope we can have endless possibilities to truly create a legend.

Finally, thank you again to all the friends who care about and support Foremed Legend, and I wish you all the best!
