People who blush easily often hear such jokes in life: "Why are you shy again?" But in fact, some people blush frequently not because of emotional shyness, but because of some skin problems. Below, we will learn about several common skin conditions that may cause facial redness and how to deal with them.

CAPILLARY FRACTURES

Red blood streaks

In medicine, red blood streaks are called telangiectasia, and the main cause is the weakening of the elasticity and increased fragility of the capillary wall, which causes the blood vessels to continue to expand abnormally or even rupture, thereby forming dilated capillaries visible to the naked eye. These capillaries appear in different forms such as dots, stars, lines or branches, and are commonly seen on the cheeks and nose wings of young and middle-aged women.

Facial red blood streaks not only affect the appearance, but may also bring psychological pressure to the patient, which is also the main reason for many people to seek medical treatment. Excessive cleaning, use of inferior skin care products and long-term exposure to ultraviolet rays are all common factors that induce red blood streaks.

If you want to improve the persistent red blood streak problem, in addition to adhering to scientific skin care, you can also consider laser treatment. Pulsed dye laser, Nd:YAG laser and intense pulsed light (photorejuvenation) are all effective methods commonly used in clinical practice.

Skin barrier damage

The skin barrier is composed of sebum membrane, stratum corneum cells (similar to "bricks") and intercellular lipids (similar to "Mortar") together, like a solid "brick wall", which can not only lock the moisture and oil in the skin, but also resist the invasion of external germs.

When affected by improper skin care, climate change and other factors, this "brick wall" will be damaged, causing discomfort symptoms such as dryness, tightness, itching, tingling and redness on the skin. In severe cases, it may also induce acne, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, psoriasis and other diseases, which will further aggravate the damage of the skin barrier and form a vicious circle.

Repairing a damaged skin barrier requires patience and scientific methods:

1. Simplify the skin care process: temporarily stop using skin care products containing various functional ingredients and irritants, choose moisturizing products containing ingredients such as ceramide and hyaluronic acid, and focus on basic moisturizing care.

2. Gently cleanse the skin: use mild cleansing products and avoid using excessive cleaning tools such as facial cleansers and scrubs. After using makeup remover, there is no need to use cleansing products for secondary cleaning.

3. Do a good job of sun protection: When going out, protect your skin by using hard sun protection methods such as holding an umbrella and wearing a hat. When the skin condition is unstable, choose a mild physical or chemical sunscreen.

4. Actively treat the primary disease: If the skin barrier is damaged by diseases such as rosacea, acne, atopic dermatitis, eczema, etc., you should seek medical attention in time and treat the primary disease to fundamentally promote the repair of the skin barrier.

SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS

SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS is a chronic recurrent inflammatory skin disease that occurs frequently in areas rich in sebaceous glands, such as the forehead, nasolabial folds, cheeks, eyebrows, and between the eyebrows. Its typical manifestation is greasy erythema, which may be accompanied by yellow scabs on the surface. Most patients do not feel obvious pain, and some people will have slight itching.

The disease is more common in two age groups, one is infants aged 2 weeks to 12 months, and the other is adolescents and adults. According to literature reports, its incidence rate is about 3%. If mild cases are included, the actual incidence rate may be higher. At present, its exact cause has not been determined.

In terms of treatment, weak hormone drugs can be used externally under the guidance of a doctor, and oral antifungal drugs are required when necessary. In daily care, oil-control and moisturizing series of skin care products should be selected to help regulate skin oil secretion and repair damaged skin barriers. At the same time, sun protection should not be ignored.

ROSACES

The typical features of rosacea are erythema and dilated capillaries in the middle of the face, and flushing is often one of the first symptoms. Mood swings, hot and cold stimulation, exercise, and the intake of spicy food, hot food or alcohol may induce or aggravate this flushing phenomenon.

In addition to the above pathological causes of skin redness, mood swings, alcohol intake, spicy food, etc. may also cause temporary facial flushing. For example, after feasting at an authentic Chongqing hot pot restaurant, few people can keep their face completely flushed.
