Rose acne, a name that sounds a bit unfamiliar, is a very common skin problem. It mainly occurs on the face and is characterized by persistent erythema, paroxysmal flushing, capillary dilation, and even papules and pustules, which seriously affects the patient's appearance and mental health. Today, let us learn about the combination of intense pulsed light and supramolecular salicylic acid to overcome this problem.
ROSACES
Rosacea: The "Enemy" of Beauty
Rosacea, also known as rosacea, is a chronic, recurring inflammatory skin disease that primarily affects the central area of the face. It is more common in young and middle-aged women, but can also affect men. This disease not only affects the beauty of the face, but may also cause discomfort such as itching and tingling, and in severe cases may even lead to problems such as nose hypertrophy. Because its pathogenesis has not been fully clarified, there are various treatments available, but the efficacy is limited and it is easy to relapse.
STRONG COOPERATION
Intense pulsed light and supramolecular salicylic acid: a strong combination
Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a treatment method that uses the photothermal effect to act on the skin. It can act on the hemoglobin in the skin through light of a specific wavelength to coagulate it, thereby achieving the effect of improving facial erythema, capillary dilation and other problems. However, the effect of using intense pulsed light alone to treat rosacea is not ideal, and it often needs to be used in combination with other treatments.
Supramolecular salicylic acid is a new therapeutic ingredient with multiple functions. It can not only fight inflammation, kill bacteria, and reduce skin inflammation, but also has fat solubility, can relieve itching, and play a photoprotective role on the skin. In addition, it can also regulate keratin in both directions, promote the exfoliation of the stratum corneum and the metabolism of keratinocytes, thereby improving symptoms such as facial papules and acne.
The combined use of intense pulsed light and supramolecular salicylic acid can exert a better therapeutic effect than using them alone. Intense pulsed light can open skin channels, increase the penetration and absorption of supramolecular salicylic acid, and enhance its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. At the same time, supramolecular salicylic acid can block the inflammatory pathway activated by intense pulsed light and prevent the occurrence of pigmentation. The two work synergistically to quickly reduce inflammatory skin lesions, shrink capillaries, and reduce facial erythema.
RESEARCH RESULTS
Research results: significant course of treatment, high safety
A 12-week treatment observation was conducted on 40 patients with rosacea. The results showed that the reduction rate of papules and pustules in patients treated with intense pulsed light combined with supramolecular salicylic acid was significantly higher than that in patients treated with intense pulsed light alone. After 6 weeks of treatment, the reduction rate of papules and pustules in the combined treatment group was 50.31%, while that in the control group was only 44.32%; after 12 weeks of treatment, the reduction rate in the combined treatment group further increased to 85.76%, while that in the control group was 76.81%.
The Yunjing skin analysis detector showed that the area of facial erythema in both groups of patients after treatment was significantly reduced compared with that before treatment, and the area of erythema in the combined treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group. This shows that the combination of intense pulsed light and supramolecular salicylic acid can not only reduce skin lesions, but also effectively improve the core symptom of facial erythema.
During the treatment, there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the combined treatment group and the control group, and no serious adverse reactions occurred. This shows that the treatment method of intense pulsed light combined with supramolecular salicylic acid is highly safe and patients can use it with confidence.
FUTURE PROSPECTS
Future Prospects: More Possibilities, More Hope
Although rosacea is stubborn, it is not invincible. The treatment method of intense pulsed light combined with supramolecular salicylic acid brings us new hope. If you or someone around you is suffering from rosacea, you may want to pay attention to this new treatment option. Of course, before receiving treatment, you must consult a professional dermatologist to choose the most suitable treatment method according to your own situation. Let's say "no" to rosacea and embrace healthy and beautiful skin!
